Over 50? So am I.
And if getting photographed sounds about as appealing as a trip to the dentist, I understand.
I hear it all the time:
“I look in the mirror, and what I see is not how I feel inside.”
I get it because I’ve felt it too. Getting older can change the way we see ourselves, even when we still feel like the same person inside.
That’s a big part of why I do what I do.
I know how vulnerable it can feel to step in front of a camera at this age. I also know how different it can feel when you have someone behind the camera who understands how to guide you.
My job is to help you relax, enjoy yourself, and walk away with photographs that feel like you again.

Here’s the process
Step one
First, we’ll meet on Zoom or in person so I can learn your goals and the types of images that would be meaningful to your business.
step two
Before your session, professional makeup is here to help you feel and look beautiful, so you step in front of the camera already feeling confident.
step three
While on set: don’t worry about posing or moving; I have that handled. Most people have no idea how to move in front of a camera, you won’t need to either.

If you haven’t been looking “photogenic” in the past, that is on your previous photographer, not you!
Almost everyone feels that at first.
You’ll be guided nonstop during your session so you feel like “she’s got me”. Your photos will then result in you looking like you on your best day. -
The only people that know how to look great in front of the camera are models. 99% of my clients are not models.
You will not have to figure that out on your own. You’ll get constant direction throughout the session, so nothing in the way you look is left to chance. -
Yes, very thoughtfully.
We will have a discussion before the session on the level of retouching that you're hoping for or desiring. You’ll still look like yourself, just well-rested, confident, and polished. -
Typically, you’ll receive your edited photos within 1-2 weeks after the shoot.

We will go over wardrobe choices that align with the person you want to portray. You’ll get a reference guide and guidance before your session so you know exactly what works on camera. The goal is to choose pieces that feel like you and support where you’re headed.

My Signature Headshot is the entryway into the world of branding. It offers more than the standard headshot with added variety, outfits, and personality in your photos.
A branding session provides you with a library of thought-through images across all of the marketing platforms you'll be using. These include portraits, environmental or lifestyle images, and detail shots of the world you live in. -
It depends on what you need. My sessions sessions start at 2 hours (that include professional makeup) and can go all day for a full, branding shoot.
If you need a quick 15-minute headshot with no branding involved, I offer pop-up headshots throughout the year in different parts of San Diego. Let me know if you want to be added to that mailing list for availability updates. -
When you suspect you are ready to step into something new or are ready to become more visible.
Signature Headshots can sometimes be booked in under 2 weeks' time.
Full day branding sessions can require 6-8 weeks to fully prepare.
Of note: most people wish they had done it sooner. -
